  • Audi R8 fire subdued by firefighters on Toronto highway

An Audi R8 being driven westbound on the Gardiner Expressway in Toronto late on Monday somehow caught on fire, with the flames eventually engulfing most of the exotic sports car. Fire crews were quick on the scene but weren’t able to save the R8, which became nothing but a smoldering heap once the flames were finally extinguished. As the video footage shows, there was not much that the fire crews could do to save the car. It’s unclear what the cause of the fire was, but since it appears to have originated in the engine bay there have been suggestions that some aftermarket...

  • Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 live photos

Since the launch of the Aventador LP 700-4, Lamborghini’s sales have been brimming, with the company, on the back of a two-model lineup, managing to increase sales by 23 percent over the course of 2011 alone. Most of that growth was thanks to new customers in China, a market which in very short time has grown to become the automaker’s second biggest, with the U.S. still narrowly claiming the top spot. Despite its popularity in China, Lamborghini knows it will need more models if it hopes to continue the current rate of growth, as high-performance sedans and SUVs are the...
