• Chevrolet Silverado EV prices have been reduced
  • Chevrolet Silverado EV now has multiple battery options
  • Silverado EV WT now available for both commercial and private buyers

The Chevrolet Silverado EV enters its second year on the market with some big improvements in range and price.

Chevy's electric pickup truck arrived for the 2024 model year and was given a staggered arrival, with a WT (Work Truck) version aimed at commercial buyers arriving initially and a limited-edition, fully equipped First-Edition RST arriving later for private buyers.

For 2025, the WT has additional battery options to choose from, with the smallest of these to be made available to private buyers in WT form. Private buyers will also be able to choose from both an LT and RST, with the RST also having multiple battery options.

Pricing for the 2025 Silverado EV starts at $57,095. That's for a WT with a Standard Range battery. No EPA range estimate is available but Chevy has previously hinted at around 350 miles. This option will have a late arrival, and as mentioned above will be offered to both commercial and private buyers.

The WT can also be equipped with Extended Range and Max Range batteries, delivering EPA range estimates of 422 miles and 492 miles, respectively. These WT versions are only available for commercial buyers and start at $69,495 with the Extended Range battery, and at $77,795 with the Max Range battery. All WT versions come with 510 hp on tap.

The pricing and range are a major improvement on the 2024 WT which came with a single battery option good for a 450-mile EPA range estimate and starting price of $79,800.

The 2025 Silverado EV for private buyers is now offered in new base LT form starting at $75,195. The LT comes exclusively with a Standard Range battery delivering an EPA range estimate of 408 miles, and packs 645 hp.

There's also the performance-oriented RST, now offered as a regular production model, which can be ordered with either an Extended Range battery good for a 390-mile estimate or with a Max Range battery good for an estimate of 460 miles. The RST starts at $89,395 with the Extended Range battery, and at $97,895 with the Max Range battery. It offers up to 760 hp.

Deliveries of the 2025 Silverado EV start late this year and all prices mentioned include a $2,095 destination charge.

Production is handled at General Motors' Factory Zero plant in Detroit. The plant is where GMC builds the related Sierra EV. GMC hasn't announced its plans for the Sierra EV for the 2025 model year.
