Jeff Glucker found his love for cars as a child when he felt tremendous sadness after watching Ferris Bueller's pal Cameron destroy a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California. Fast forward to 2009 and Glucker co-founded Hooniverse.com, which is the go-to place for enthusiasts and lovers of all things automotive (according to him). Over the years Glucker has written for various outlets including Autoblog, NADAguides, Autobytel, Speed:Sport:Life, and a handful of others. While he may often find himself writing about new cars... his heart lies with the older ones.

  • A 2004 Porsche Carrera GT with only 25 miles heads to auction

Porsche cars from all eras are rising in value at a brisk pace. Certain 911 Carreras from the 1970s can fetch high six- and even low seven-figure sums. Few Porsche cars from the modern era command that sort of dollar. One such car that does is the mighty Carrera GT, and an incredibly clean example...

  • "Suicide Squad"-inspired BMW i8 is a wild piece of automotive art

The film itself, for some, was a bit of a letdown. There's no denying, however, that Jared Leto's interpretation of Batman's preeminent foe in "Suicide Squad" was quite over the top. He reportedly fell rather deeply down a rabbit hole with his portrayal of The Joker, which is surprising given the...

  • The Nevada Highway Patrol retires its last Ford Crown Vic

You haven't worked as long and hard as the Panther platform. Starting in 1978, Ford began cranking out cars on its full-size rear-wheel-drive platform, and it didn't stop doing so until 2011. Over the course of that run, the most prolifically produced machine was undoubtedly the Ford Crown...

  • The O.J. Bronco was for sale on "Pawn Stars," but didn't sell

It's one of the most famous, or should we say infamous, vehicles in history. It captured the attention of millions of people for one insane day back in June of 1994. I'm talking about a certain fifth-generation Ford Bronco that was finished in bright white paint. It's the O.J. Bronco, and it just...

These towns need a bit of excitement to stir things up, and Jaguar...

  • The Dodge Demon configurator has been unleashed

You know you want one. How could you not, really? I mean, there's never been a production vehicle capable of making 840 horsepower with a price under $100,000. If you truly want one, you're going to have to navigate ridiculous dealer shenanigans, budget for a near continual flow of tires, and...

  • Buy Pedro Martinez's 2003 Aston Martin Vanquish, help a charity, and meet the Hall of Famer

Number 45 has been retired by the Boston Red Sox since 2015. It was the number worn by one of the greatest pitchers in Major League Baseball history, Pedro Martinez. The slim, 5-11, 170-pound Dominican had electric stuff. His career ERA? 2.93. He still holds the third-highest strikeout-to-walk...

  • Porsche offers lengthy engine warranty for some GT3 owners

Let's flash back to the year 2014. Porsche had introduced its all-new 991-generation 911 GT3 the year prior, and now the car was making its way into the hands of excited owners. Their passion for the car was fiery. The problem was that the car could become fiery as well. When the 991.1 GT3 first...

  • Vintage midget racer rolls into Jay Leno's Garage

Midget racing got its start back in the late 1920s and early 1930s. The cars were small, the tracks were tight circles, and the action was dangerous. It featured a handful of racers ripping through dirt corners in lightweight, powerful machines with little protection, wearing little more than a...

  • Yes, you can go camping in the McLaren 570 GT

Mike Tornabene is the man behind the muscles that is otherwise known as Dom Mazzetti. His Bro Science Life character is a funny parody of the bodybuilding culture. Tornabene himself, however is quite the car fan. He's owned some sweet rides over the last few years, and he's decided to start his own...

  • There's a brand-new 2006 Ford GT for sale soon

The twin-turbocharged Ford GT supercar is a modern-day ode to the glorious racing Ford GT40s of a bygone era: the company wanted to win races, and it used old-school muscle to do so. Ford has made plenty of news with the launch of the all-new GT. The reincarnated car uses modern tech to hone its...

  • Tupac's Hummer H1 is back on the auction block

Some things will never change... and one of those is apparently ownership of Tupac Shakur's 1996 Hummer H1. After flying past auction estimates to hit $337,000 last year, the late rapper's Hummer H1 is still on the market. That winning $337,000 bid turned out to be a bit of a dud. The bidder was...

  • McLaren has massively underrated the power of the 720S

It happens fairly often: an automaker produces a high-performance car, and shouts its power figures to the world. It's all a bit of a game, though, because there's a chance the maker is really underrating that figure. The only thing they need you to know that it's more powerful than the...

  • Remember when Formula One cars had screaming V-12s?

Back in the late 1980s, the FIA banned the use of turbocharged engines. Thus, the world was granted the amazing era of F1 cars powered by wailing V-10 and V-12 engines. They revved incredibly high, sang a mechanical tune like nothing else, and are sorely missed today. If you've never heard a car...

  • Ride along in a Ferrari 275 GTB in the rain at Spa

Any vintage Ferrari is worth massive piles of cash. It's no surprise that many of these cars are tucked away in climate-controlled spaces, and their work-of-art V-12 engines are often left to sit instead of firing to life and powering the rear wheels. Some owners, however, do take them out and use...
