The car, a Carrera S finished in a special Irish Green paint, features numerous touches to highlight its significance. For example, there are special badges with “911 Nr. 1000000” marked on them. You’ll also find a “1000000.” inscription in the instrument cluster. Six cars in total, all 2017 Dodge Viper ACRs with the extreme aero package. That's what made up the largest fifth-generation Dodge Viper customer delivery. The Minnesota Viper Club cashed in on the final days of the Viper's "1-of-1" program and put together a group-buy order to coordinate the...

From the man that brought us the supercar marque Noble comes a hardcore track machine that would give a McLaren P1 a scare. Yes, Lee Noble is back with a new speed machine. It's called the Exile, and it's going to be “bloody quick,” he told Autocar. The Exile is the first of a new line...

Here's your chance to own a 1985 Audi Sport Quattro
In 1985, World Rally Championship Group B homologation rules required manufacturers to produce at least 200 road-going examples of any car they wished to campaign in the series. The rule produced all manner of fire-breathing legends, including the Audi Sport Quattro. Audi easily exceeded it's...

Denmark’s Agile Automotive targets Lotus with pair of lightweight sports cars
When you think of Denmark, you probably think of tasty pastries and minimalist design. We doubt very much you’d be thinking about fast cars, but that may not be the case for long. A decade ago, the Scandinavian country brought us the supercar brand Zenvo, and now it’s brought us the...

2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata RF first drive review: the Miata coupe (targa?) we've always wanted
As soon as sports car fans discovered the Miata was a fantastic roadster, some started asking for a stylish coupe version. That was probably a couple days after the first Miata hit the street in 1989. I'd argue that the 2017 MX-5 Miata RF answers that call. Coupe, roadster, or targa? The latest...

When the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 kicks off in a few weeks time, it will be with a Chevrolet at the head of the field…as the pace car. Aside from fielding several of the top entries for this year's race, Chevy is once again supplying the pace car, a patriotically colored Corvette Grand Sport. The automatic-transmission Grand Sport coupe has a white body with blue and red accents, and its silver wheels shroud Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, which come standard as part of the must-have Z07 package. As a refresher, the Grand Sport combines elements of the Corvette Stingray and...

Reborn TVR Griffith has already tallied over 400 orders
TVR was once one of the largest specialized sports car manufacturers in the world. However, its fall from grace was anything but a smooth landing. Since the mid-2000s, TVR has been in near constant limbo. TVR's current owners aim to change that, however, and announced the first reborn TVR sports...

2018 Porsche 911 GT3 laps 'Ring 12.3 seconds faster than predecessor
Remember how Porsche told us that it doesn't care about lap times? That's great, because cars are so much more than their posted numbers. There's the feel a car gives you and the thrill you get simply from driving a machine that wails, roars, or howls. An incredible thing happens to you when you...

BMW M2 facelift leaks showing subtle styling changes
BMW of Belgium has let the cat out of the bag. And by cat, we mean arguably one of BMW's best sport coupes in recent times. The Belgian company published images to its website and it shows the 2018 BMW M2 in all its glory, first reported by Bimmer Today. If it looks the same, that's because the...

How can a 2013 BMW M3 be worth $299,950?
This is essentially a brand-new 2013 BMW M3. It shows just 250 miles on its odometer and it's not registered. That's all well and good, but how the heck does someone think they're going to get 50 bucks shy of $300,000 for this car? It all comes down to rarity. This isn't a standard M3, it's the M3...

Call it "AMG light" if you like or "entry performance," but it's become somewhat a trend in the automotive industry, especially among the luxury brands. Mercedes-AMG is doing it with its 43 models, Audi has its S models, and BMW has offerings like the 340i. Even Infiniti has the Q50 Red Sport 400. They aren't full-on top-of-the-line performance models, but are they track ready? We can't answer that question for all the brands mentioned, but we posed it to Axel Wolleson, overall vehicle development engineer for Mercedes-AMG, and he was able to shed some light on the development process the...

2017 Lotus Exige Cup 380 is all about the aero
We only get the Lotus Evora in the United States, at least as far as road cars are concerned. But overseas, buyers still have new versions of the lighter, more affordable Elise and Exige models they can opt for. The latest model to come out of Lotus’ headquarters in Hethel is a harder-edged...

Report: Mercedes to axe SLC

It seems the big brute that is the 2018 C7 Corvette ZR1 is a tad too loud for the Nürburgring Nordschleife, judging by the interesting pipes attached to the center-exit exhaust. We may love the loud sounds, but noise restrictions at the Green Hell put a stop to it all quite quickly. This is the fist time we've seen the C7 Corvette ZR1 with these pipes attached to the exhaust and they've only been spotted while running the famed 'Ring. Regulations peg noise limits at 100 db. Clearly, the ZR1 is louder than that, at least when running flat out. Even with the extra piping, the C7 Corvette...

Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 pushes hard in rally race
Before Porsche's 997 series 911 went away, the world was graced with a spectacular low-run version of the mighty GT3 RS. Instead of the 3.8-liter flat-6 of the GT3 RS at the time, Porsche fitted this particular variant with a larger 4.0-liter engine based on the unit used in motorsport. Power...
