This guy clearly has the right idea. First of all, the 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray is a great car. Tons of fun. Incredible value. Second, it makes a great gift. Especially when the recipient is your girlfriend. It might be cynical, but this is perhaps the best example of buying someone's affection we've ever seen (though she's a bit less visibly excited about it than we'd have guessed). Through a less-cynical lens, it might just be a very generous way to thank the woman in your life. Either way, they get to drive a Stingray now, and that's a win. Via CorvetteBlogger

We Need More Rear-Wheel-Drive Cars, Say Mazda Engineers
The rear-wheel drive car is something of an endangered species. Aside from dedicated luxury and sports car brands, there just aren't many rear-drive cars out there. Why? It's really quite simple: front-drive cars make better use of the passenger space by getting ride of the driveshaft tunnel and...

Seven Porsche 911s, 42 Cylinders, One Song: Video
This is what it sounds like when all seven generations of the Porsche 911 join forces to play their flat-six song. It's beautiful. Accompanied by the screeching of tires and little else, the seven 911s storm around an empty warehouse, sliding and spinning, creating their own jazz symphony. Then...

Hennessey Performance Engineering does many things we envy, from the Venom GT to its ridiculous/awesome CTS-Vs. But this we don't so much envy--we've already driven the Stingray hard. We can't say it surprises us, either. But it's still impressive. A bone-stock, automatic-transmission Stingray, the...

While $194,850 is undeniably a lot of money, it also buys you a lot of car: the new 991 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet. We fully expect it to be every bit as good as the hardtop version we drove in Germany last month, with the added benefit of a folding cloth roof. Here, we get to see the car in motion, as it flies along a deserted stretch of two-lane spanning coast, desert, and mountains. Sadly, most of the car's turbo-six engine note is overridden by typically Germanic music, but the sights make up for the loss of sound. To see the top in motion as it opens and closes, be sure to watch around...
