As far back as two years ago, Bob Lutz was dropping hints that Cadillac could get a plug-in hybrid or Volt-based crossover. Today, a new report brings those hints back to live, with the plug-in project getting the nod, using--surprise--some technology from the Volt. Cadillac isn't confirming or denying the report, but it makes a lot of sense for the brand, which as GM's halo marque, could stand a little more green sheen. The CTS-V line, after all, has huge appeal for us, but only limited draw in more efficiency-concerned circles--and those circles are where sales can be gained from...

Video: Nico Rosberg Tests The 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK

2011 Lexus CT 200h Priced From $29,995
Lackluster is perhaps the best description for Lexus' hybrid offerings thus far, with the RX 450h and HS 250h returning unimpressive efficiency and high prices. The 2011 CT 200h aims to change that with a starting price of $29,995 including delivery. At 42 mpg combined EPA-rated fuel economy, the...

The current-generation Acura RL has been on the market since late 2004 and since then has only undergone one major facelift to keep it looking fresh amongst a sea of strong competitors. In 2011 that same car is soldiering on, receiving only minor updates to keep it ticking until a replacement arrives--if at all. The 2011 Acura RL makes do with a new Sequential SportShift six-speed automatic transmission, which is still matched to a 3.7-liter V-6 with 300 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque. The transmission features a new multi-clutch torque converter that not only has a higher maximum...

A Jaguar crossover/SUV? Isn't that what Land Rover is for? Apparently not, according to a new report out today. Instead, Jaguar may go its own way into the crossover market and "stop being a saloon-based company," according to Jag's global brand director Adrian Hallmark. Hallmark, recently poached from Saab, also says all-wheel drive sedans are in the works, along with a wagon version of the XF. Those we can get behind--especially an XF-R or XF Supercharged wagon--but the crossover/SUV plans? What gives? Sales, sales, sales. Or at least that's the subtext. Stepping outside the niche realm and...
