Fresh off its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the 2012 Mercedes-Benz ML 63 AMG is the company's latest entry into the high-performance SUV fray. AMG's boss Ola Kallenius says it's a segment the company invented with the original ML AMG, and though BMW and Porsche have attacked it with a vengeance, there's still a lot to say for the ostensible original. Its power comes from a brawny 5.5-liter twin-turbo V-8, good for 518 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. That's enough to scoot the big SUV to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds.
