The Shelby GT500 did very well in Car and Driver's Lightning Lap contest, but C/D's test drivers apparently couldn't keep up with Ford's, and there is proof on the Internet. In fact. we've posted video of the company's 2:58.5 run at Virginia International Raceway--the same one used by the magazine.
