The Pagani Zonda is the supercar that refuses to die. The car's successor arrived in 2011 in the form of the Huayra, and that car has since been replaced by the Utopia which debuted in 2022.

Nevertheless, Pagani is ready to present a new, never-before-seen Zonda. It's the 140th example built, and is promised to be the last new Zonda built. Rebuilds of existing chassis will likely continue for years to come, though.

The final Zonda is fittingly called the Arrivederci, Italian for “goodbye.” The car will be presented on Aug. 16 at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, one of the premier events of 2024 Monterey Car Week currently underway in California, and U.S. car collector Kris Singh has taken to social media to reveal himself as the owner.

Pagani hasn't released photos of the car but the U.K.'s Modena Design, a company specializing in computer-generated renderings of supercars, in February posted images of a Zonda dubbed the Arrivederci, and which matches Pagani's description of the new car.

According to Pagani, the Arrivederci will feature the Zonda Roadster body, panels made from a unique composite material incorporating Alutex (which has a silver finish), and blue and red accent stripes. The car will also feature a red interior, to match the interior of the Pagani Huayra La Monza Lisa, a car also owned by the Arrivederci's owner.

Pagani hasn't provided details on the powertrain but most recent Zonda rebuilds have used the 760-specification of the 7.3-liter V-12 that powered later Zondas. The engine is good for 750 hp.

The arrival of the Arrivederci will mark the end of a chapter of Pagani history that began with the debut of the first example at the 1999 Geneva auto show. That first example, a C12, was later used for crash testing and other homologation purposes, but was fully restored and presented by Pagani in 2019 to mark the Zonda's 20th anniversary.

Monterey Car Week runs until Aug. 18, culminating with the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Pagani will also use the event for the debut the Utopia Roadster, which features a V-12 engine paired with a 7-speed manual transmission.
