You’re in for a real treat today.
YouTuber Automotive Mike has managed to spot a prototype for the new Mercedes-AMG E63, and it’s wearing the least bit of camouflage of any of the prototypes for the new super sedan we’ve seen.
The front bumper design with its myriad of intakes is clearly visible. We also get a close up of the car’s squared-off exhaust tips, and the sound they is spine-tinglingly good.

The new E63 is scheduled to debut in late September at the 2016 Paris Auto Show. The folks at AMG are keeping quiet on details but we know there will be a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and drive sent to the ground via a rear-biased all-wheel-drive system.
According to recently leaked info, the new E63 will come with 563 horsepower and 553 pound-feet in standard form and as much as 603 hp and 627 lb-ft in sportier E63 S trim. The E63 is thought to be capable of 0-62 mph acceleration in 3.7 seconds while the E63 S is expected to achieve the same feat in just 3.5 seconds.
In addition to the E63 sedan, there will also be a new E63 Wagon. This time around, new generations of the E-Class Coupe and E-Class Cabriolet are also expected to receive the full AMG treatment.
