The latest Ford Motor Company [NYSE:F] GT isn't quite ready for showrooms yet, so Ford of France is marking the 50th anniversary of the GT40's now-legendary 1-2-3 win at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans with a special edition package for the Fiesta ST, Focus ST, Focus RS and Mustang GT.
Only 50 units of each will be made for the French market, and all follow the same scheme of Shadow Black Mica paint with gray Le Mans-style stripes, a look inspired by the Mark II GT40 piloted by Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon to victory back in '66.
The cars will have special badging on their tails and dashboards.
Here's a rundown of the optional equipment included on the Le Mans editions:
- Opt for the Fiesta ST and you'll net the otherwise optional Performance and Parking packages with 17-inch alloy wheels and red brake calipers.
- Go for the Focus ST and you receive the Style package with 18-inch alloys and red brake calipers.
- The Focus RS, meanwhile, ups the ante with the Comfort and Premium packages with upgraded audio, keyless access, and cruise control.
- Meanwhile, the Mustang GT adds the Premium Package with 19-inch alloy wheels and navigation
Buyers of all 200 cars will also receive a matching watch, while early adopters—those who place an order prior to June 17—will have the chance to win a VIP access package to the Le Mans Classic that also includes a lap around the track in one of the special editions.
