Apparently, Malaysia's Sultan of Johor is a bit of a semi-truck fan. He commissioned Mack Trucks' Australian division to create a custom Super-Liner fit for, well, a Sultan. The Super-Liner is part of the Australian product lineup, which is comprised of seriously rugged machines designed to tackle all that Australia and its Outback can throw at a driver and vehicle. The Sultan's truck has a bit more luxury inside than your average road warrior's rig, however, and this truck is apparently the most expensive Mack Truck ever built.

No one is saying what it cost to build, but it's being reported that this truck blows the previous record holder out of the water. That truck cost $481,000 Australian dollars to create, which is about $350,000 here in the States. Rumor has it that the Sultan's truck cost him north of $1,000,000. If you glance inside you can see why, as this Super-Liner boasts a kitchen with stone countertops, a microwave and a fridge, and the living quarters are 80-percent larger than those in the standard Super-Liner. Out back (pun intended), the truck features a leisure deck that can be fitted with sun shades and has space for deck chairs and a pull-out BBQ.
It took Mack Trucks Australia over a year to build this beast. The Sultan flew to Brisbane to witness its unveiling to a gathered crowd before the truck heads to its palace home. There it will most likely be parked next to a few Holdens, as the Sultan has stated he's a fan of Australian engineering.
