If you’re like us, you’re completely down with the automotive reverse mullet: party in the front, business in the back. That’s exactly what the HSV GTS Maloo is, and it’s amazing. Sadly, it’s only available in Australia and New Zealand.

Based on the most powerful production car ever built in Australia, the HSV GTS sedan, the new GTS Maloo rates at an equal 580 horsepower and 546 pound-feet of torque from its supercharged 6.2-liter LSA V-8 engine. HSV hasn’t released performance statistics for the car just yet, but mated to either a TR6060 six-speed manual or 6L90E six-speed automatic, the GTS Maloo should prove to be one very quick, very fast car. In fact, it could prove to be the fastest 'truck' ever built.

Other performance upgrades to the standard Maloo configuration include 390 mm front and 372 mm rear two-piece brake rotors, forged six-piston AP calipers, torque vectoring (HSV says it’s a first for a ute), a unique front-end design with greater air inlet area, unique daytime running lights, side skirts, a “twin-hump” hard tonneau cover, and unique 20-inch Blade forged alloy wheels in Dark Stainless finish.

Two new colors are also offered starting with the GTS Maloo: Some Like It Hot bronze/red, and Jungle Green. And inside the GTS Maloo, Onyx leather trim is standard, with optional RedHot leather available.

The HSV GTS Maloo will also offer some of General Motors Company’s [NYSE:GM] more advanced electronic features, including head-up display, forward collision alert, and lane departure warning.

Sadly, only 250 examples of the HSV GTS Maloo will be built, with 240 of those headed to Australia, and 10 to New Zealand. Production begins in early November.
