The car is based on the 2014 Fiat 500 Lounge model but comes in a number of classic exterior colors such as Bianco (white), Verde Chiaro (light green) or exclusive Celeste (celestial blue). Buyers will also be able to order the car with contrasting white paint used on the roof and mirror caps.
Paying homage to the original are the retro-styled 16-inch wheels, historic Fiat logos and Avorio (ivory) interior hues contrasted with Marrone (brown) leather trim. The car also benefits from sport-tuned suspension and all-season performance tires. Buyers also receive a uniquely styled key fob with a Marrone-colored casing and an Avorio-painted "1957" graphic.

No changes have been made to the engine, which remains Fiat’s 1.4-liter MultiAir engine, good for 101 horsepower. A driver-selectable "Sport" mode on the instrument panel improves throttle response a tad. The Sport mode also speeds up shift times for cars equipped with the 500’s available six-speed automatic transmission. A five-speed manual is standard.
The Fiat 500 1957 Edition is being introduced for the 2014 model year and lands in showrooms this coming spring. Numbers will be limited so you’d better make a beeline to your closest Fiat dealer to place an order if you'd like one.
