This week we were running around Europe, ending up at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show checking out the latest new metal under the bright lights of the auto show floor. We were scared by the insane Brabus B63S, but impressed with the Volvo Concept Coupe.
Also at the show, BMW unveiled its $135,925 2015 i8 plug-in hybrid sports car. Mercedes-Benz priced the new 2014 S-Class while introducing both the 2014 S63 AMG 4Matic, and the Concept S-Class Coupe. Ferrari took things to a different level with the spicy 458 Speciale, and Audi surprised us with the nanuk quattro Concept. Not to be left out of the party, Lamborghini showed its Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse.
Meanwhile, Audi confirmed the new 2015 A3 Cabriolet will come to the U.S. market, and said the nanuk quattro Concept could be built and sold alongside the R8. We also found out that the Mazda Furai Concept somehow burned to the ground while in the hands of Top Gear--back in 2008. One of the highlights of our week? Watching the Porsche 918 Spyder's record-setting Nürburgring run.
