2012 Lincoln Navigator
The reason is due to the vehicles’ head restraints, which may have inadequate welds on their support brackets.
The affected head restraints are only those found on the right-hand seat of the second row, and the only affected vehicles are 2012 Navigators and 2012 Expeditions built from November 19 through to December 2, 2011.
According to Ford, the seat head restraint may not provide the required strength in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
In total there are some 569 potentially affected vehicles.
Owners of the affected vehicles should take their cars to their nearest Ford or Lincoln dealer, which will replace the head restraints free of charge.
