The Man Van is even manlier today with the unveiling of the Dodge Grand Caravan R/T. Dodge says it delivers the performance-sedan handling with minivan utility.
Rated at 283 horsepower from its 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine, it certainly has the grunt it needs to get the job done. A driver-selectable "fuel-economizer" mode offers better fuel economy when desired, and a 12-mm lower ride height, revised aerodynamics, and low rolling resistance tires help to deliver the compromise between sporty and efficient as well.
Unique interior and exterior treatments give the Grand Caravan R/T a more manly look so the driver doesn't have to give up "their identity when they have a family." Clever, Chrysler. But will it sell?
The 2011 Grand Caravan R/T arrives in showrooms this spring, starting from $30,595.
