Maserati's MC Sport Line is an option package designed to give the company's cars a decidedly motorsports-inspired look and handling treatment and has so far been offered on cars like the GranTurismo and hotter GranTurismo S in the past. Now it’s the Quattroporte’s turn to receive the MC Sport Line treatment, in this case the more potent Quattroporte Sport GT S getting the makeover.

The Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S MC Sport Line was rolled out last week at the 2010 Australian Motor Show in Sydney.

Extensive use of carbon fiber, the standard material of high-end race cars, is one of the package's hallmarks. With upgraded, track-tested aerodynamics thanks to new carbon fiber front and rear spoilers, the Quattroporte Sport GT S MC Sport Line optimizes down force for high-speed driving.

Inside, the usual wood trim around the dash and center consoles have all been replaced with carbon fiber, and are joined by new panels embossed with the MC Sport Line logo. To finish off the look a set of aluminum pedals, also with an MC logo, have been installed.

While some of the modifications don’t seem in keeping with the Quattroporte’s comfortably luxurious side, all of the items can be had together or separately, as suits the taste of the individual Maserati owner.
