This is going to sound terrible, but we can never remember why Kate Bosworth is important -- or at least important enough to be taking up a corner of the limited real estate north of our medulla oblongata. Is she a musician? A juggler? Did she kill someone famous, or just our sense of inner peace?
Checking her IMDB profile, we see that she got her start as "Student in background" in the hit show that no one -- NO ONE -- we know ever watched, 7th Heaven. Also, she was in Blue Crush, which maybe counts for something. Still...
Oh, whatever: she scores a lot of late-night talk show appearances, and she's scored a ride with True Blood's Alexander Skarsgard in his Audi R8, so what's she got to worry about? Well, apart from the American public finally getting over their vampire fetish, leaving Alex without his primary cash cow to pay off a hefty car note.
Let's assume she has a backup plan.
