The cast of *The A-Team*
The A-Team opens on June 11, and just to make sure that its target audience of 35 - 50-year-old men (aka, The People Old Enough to Remember Mr. T) know the film is en route, several of the cast appeared on the racetrack in Charlotte over the Memorial Day weekend to make a lap before the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Coca-Cola 600.
Bradley Cooper, Jessica Biel, and company seemed happy to pose for some photo opps, but it was fairly clear that none were interested in sticking around very long -- with the possible exception of Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, since a good chunk of his UFC fanbase was sitting in the stands. Biel, on the other hand, seemed shocked at how monotonous NASCAR could be: "I just can't believe that's where [the drivers] sit for four hours.... I'm still surprised they don't change directions. That's freaking me out." Perhaps if the pit area had a Starbucks drive-through, things would be different, Jessica.
Notable among the missing cast members: Liam Neeson. We have a feeling he's already trying to put this one behind him. No worries, Liam: given Biel and Cooper's box office track record, the film will probably meet a swift and ignominious end.
