We give up. We asked Hollywood to give us something interesting for this holiday Friday, something that might tide you over until we return on Tuesday, and what did we get? Bupkis, that's what. Zip. Zero. Zilch.
(Okay, there was this photo of Simon Monjack, husband of the late Brittany Murphy, cruising around LA in a Range Rover, but since the guy just died -- allegedly of natural causes, like Murphy -- we couldn't find an angle that wasn't in poor taste. See? We do have standards. You just have to squat to see them.)
And so we turn to movies. Unfortunately, Prince of Persia doesn't feature any cars at all, so that leaves us with Sex and the City 2. We haven't seen the film yet, and if we take the advice of those who have, we probably won't come within 50o yards of it. But that doesn't mean we can't watch the trailer and enjoy the nice selection of Mercedes-Benz vehicles rolling by.
Seriously, if studios choose a movie's better clips for its trailer, and if those are the best parts of SATC2, please take a fistful of Dramamine and imagine what the other 144 minutes are like.
