Ahh, to be eight again. Bicycles, bugs, chemistry sets and race-prepped rally cars. Wait, what? If you're Kalle Rovanpera, that might sum up an average afternoon--minus all the stuff about bikes, bugs and chemistry sets. And no, he's not prepping for the WRC this season--or next--but keep your eye on him for, oh, say, 2020.
This video shows the tiny young Finn thrashing about in a rally-prepped car on snow, gravel, sand and tarmac with an alacrity that's alarmingly beyond his years. Watching his tiny arms make the long throws on the gearbox as he downshifts is comical, but those figure-eight burnouts are pure gold.
