The Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series is one car not in need of an upgrade but that hasn’t stopped the guys at Brabus from increasing the car’s performance to the level of the world’s top supercars. In stock form the potent GT already develops a hefty 661 horsepower but after some Brabus magic the car’s twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V-12 is now pumping out an even 800 horsepower.

Dubbed the Brabus Vanish, the special one-off supercar was commissioned by a customer in the Middle-East and we’re sure would have cost ‘significantly’ more than the SL65 AMG Black Series’ $320,000 asking price.

Modifications included a pair of uprated turbochargers, a high-flow exhaust system with the catalytic converters removed, new brake pads and an upgraded automatic transmission.

To minimize lift on the front axle, designers developed a front spoiler that attaches to the production bumper. The spoiler is made from exposed carbon-fiber and its shape was fine-tuned in the wind tunnel. A corresponding rear diffuser also made from exposed carbon-fiber was added as well.

Inside, designers add custom leather trim, a flat-bottom sports steering wheel with integrated buttons for gear shifts. Brabus also offers carbon trim for the dashboard, center console and door trim.
