2011 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500
The order guide for the 2011 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 leaked out last week, so we already know most of the specs that are due to be unveiled via webcast on Monday, but we've managed to get our hands on the official teaser video for the car, which reveals the car in action.
It also shows stills of the car from most angles, giving a good idea of what to expect on Monday. The cosmetic differences from the 2010 Shelby GT500 are minimal, though the narrower stripes across the hood, roof and trunk plus the Gurney flap spoiler do make for a different look. New wheels, slightly redesigned front and rear clips, and some tweaks to the SVT package are about all that's new--until you pop the hood, that is.
The 2011 Shelby GT500 gets a new all-aluminum version of the iron-block 5.4-liter supercharged V-8 in the current vehicle, so expect the new car to drop some weight off the nose, which we expect will help improve handling while maintaining power output.
