Ford’s Shelby GT 500 took out the Car category, while Toyota Tundra’s took top honors in the Truck category with the Jeep Wrangler winning in the SUV spot. Taking out the hybrid category was the Chevrolet Silverado Classic. The fact that a new category was created for hybrids alone shows that there’s significant interest in the segment and with so many entrants, the competition this year was tough.
The winners were picked by select voting members who represent the group of SEMA-member companies. The awards themselves honor those OEMs who make accessory-friendly vehicles, and help identify for the consumer the vehicles with great potential for accessories.
