The all new C-Class isn’t due until next year’s Geneva Motor Show but spy photographers have managed to capture a fully undisguised test mule in Europe. The version seen here was wearing diesel badges, however, the first models to be launched are likely to be powered by Mercedes’ all-purpose 3.5L V6 mated to its 7G-Tronic automatic transmission.

Mercedes is redesigning the entire C-Class lineup for the 2008 model year, which will include the sedan, touring and new coupe versions with an improved version of the 4MATIC four-wheel drive system. To reduce development costs, the new C-Class will share more components with other Mercedes models than ever before. Follow the jump to see the image in full.
