Max Rockatansky is back, only this time he’s played by Tom Hardy instead of Mel Gibson, and it’s not gasoline that’s scarce in his world but water. We are, of course, talking about the fourth installment of the Mad Max franchise, Mad Max: Fury Road, which hits theaters on May 15 and has been directed by the franchise’s creator George Miller.

Max, presumably still haunted by the death of his family in the first movie, continues to wander the deserts alone. However, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the wasteland from Immortan Joe, the leader of a gang that controls access to precious water.
Starring alongside Hardy in the new movie are Charlize Theron, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Nicholas Hoult, Zoë Kravitz and Australian model Megan Gale, among others.
